Muscari, also known as Grape Hyacinths, are very dependable naturalizers that easily spread. They like to be in a spot that is shaded in summer, as under deciduous trees and shrubs, and they love an organic and moist soil. Muscari throws off flower stems in succession and provides flowers for weeks on end.

Muscari botryoides Album - this species is already known since 1896, but as you can see it does very well in a modern setting of sleek zinc planters. Muscari Album is a great naturalizing variety to plant in those areas where you want to create a less formal setting. It also is a great forcer for indoors. Don’t forget that all muscari varieties also make nice cut flowers for small spring bouquets.
